You know what was the opposite of fun? When your computer decided to remember it belonged in a universe that wasn't the one it was currently in, and failed to connect to multiversal internet as a result. And that was exactly what Natalie's computer had done a few days ago. And it had irked her, though not enough to make it to the computer lab. She figured there were probably availability issues or some other inconvenient thing afoot, somewhere, and gave it time to sort itself out.

And lo, when she got up this morning and sat down in her robe to try changing the internet settings on her computer one more time, it actually worked. Along with her school email, wherein there was a message awaiting her response. So, she got on that.

Sorry about the delay, computer thought it was a nice time to pretend to not understand multiversal internet.

Regardless, translator offer still stands. Anything particular I should know about Haiti in whatever year it is there? Other than remembering sun screen for my delicate Canadian complexion.

Email sent, she sighed and leaned back in her chair. Fandom had you agreeing to odd things.

Montreal was quiet and normal. It had been, anyway, after the squirrels had left yesterday. Natalie liked that. Things were all as usual, and she was enjoying that. She was intending to stay for a while yet, too. Her father had insisted on a book shop tour tomorrow, and her mother a proper family dinner.

Both parents were at work now, though, so Natalie had the house to herself. Not that you could tell from the way that she was acting, since she was curled up in the arm chair in her room, as usual. Music was playing on the stereo, and her computer was open on the desk, as it tended to be. And she had a book in her lap, one for her French Lit class. It was like she'd never moved away.

Except she had a phone in her hand, and was picking Sam's number. That was definitely a change. And not a bad one.

[ooc: NFB, but open for emails and texts and calls (even other than the one she's making, omg.]
