Due to the general emotional fiasco of the last couple of days, Nathan had taken two days off from actually going out and working. Not because he was the wrong gender (he wasn't the wrong gender, thanks), but because he'd wanted to make sure there wouldn't be an awkward raincloud following him around the compound. That would've been a little too weird for around here. So, he'd just done his thing via email. And done some general re-arranging around his apartment.

But now Jim's thing were all in a box by the door, and despite his general hermiting, Nathan was starting to feel like he'd go stir-crazy if he stayed cooped up in his duplex for much longer. He had to go out and actually deal with people face to face. Comb his hair, put on his suit instead of a ratty hoodie and sweatpants, and get his gameface on. That was what he needed, and that was what he did.

And once he was done, he took a deep breath, and stepped outside.

This was going to go oh so well.
